• Provide students with the opportunity to study abroad;
• Train teachers of languages and cultures for elementary and high schools in Kentucky;
• Support existing scholarship funds, including the Swift-Longacre Graduate Fellowship in Classics; the Max Kade Fellowship in German; and establish scholarships for students of other languages;
• Support cultural activities and programs, such as German Octoberfest, Chinese New Year and Mid-Autumn Festival, Russian Carnival Festival, and Muslim Eid-al-Fitr.
