MCLLC Programs

The Department of Modern and Classical Languages, Literatures and Cultures (MCLLC) has consolidated its majors and minors into one MCL major (with both B.A. and B.S. options) and one MCL minor. This was done to create a more cohesive program for our majors, build a larger cohort of students interested in world languages and cultures, and take advantage of the varied expertise among the diverse faculty of MCLLC.

Many of our courses on literature, culture and film are taught in English and satisfy UK Core requirements.

At the graduate level, we have two teacher preparation programs at the Masters level (Master of Arts in Teaching World Languages and in Teaching English as a Second Language) as well as Masters programs in Classics, French, and German.
