Ted Higgs
Ted Higgs teaches the intermediate and accelerated Latin courses, Greek and Roman mythology, the Greek and Latin masterpieces class, the summer Latin reading course, and special topics courses. He is the Director of Undergraduate Studies for the Classics Division, the instructor of record for the medical terminology course, and faculty adviser for Eta Sigma Phi, the Classics honor society, and Shale, the UK undergraduate creative writing journal. He has published numerous translations of Greek and Italian poetry, as well as poetry of his own, and serves on the editorial staff of The Heartland Review. He is currently working on a translation of Gasparo Contarini’s De Republica Venetorum.
