Biography

I am a student, teacher, and lover of language – especially of Latin and Greek. I received a BA in Classics from Samford University, and am thankful that I get to continue studying and teaching Classics here at UK! My current research interest centers on oral poetry in Latin and Greek, and the interaction between meter, sound, and meaning in the experience of both the listener and the declaimer. When not academically engaged, I enjoy walking, throwing frisbee, singing, and memorizing poetry.
