Gabrielle Taylor is a current Graduate Student in German Studies at the University of Kentucky, as well as a German Teaching Assistant. Before arriving to Kentucky, she spent two years teaching at the elementary school level as an extracurricular electives teacher and 3rd and 4th grade teacher, respectively. In the 2014-2015 academic year, Gabrielle participated in the Fulbright U.S. Scholars Program as an English Teaching Assistant in a Gesamtschule in Hagen, Germany. It was there that she developed a love for all things education and language learning. As an undergraduate at the University of Alabama, Gabrielle studied Telecommunication and Film, with a concentration in Documentary, as well as the German language. She loves watching and analyzing documentaries and foreign films, chatting over a cup of coffee, and showing people pictures of her dog, Baxter.


Short documentary, Black Noise, officially screened in 2014 at the Bama Theatre in Tuscaloosa, AL. Also selected for screening at the Sidewalk Film Festival in Birmingham, AL (August 2014), and the New Orleans Film Festival in New Orleans, LA (October 2014).

Co-moderator for the panel, One Continent, Many Visions, at the Fulbright Berlin Seminar in March 2015.
