I graduated from Samford University in 2021 with a B.A. in Philosophy, Classics, and English. My first and most enduring loves are teaching and writing, and I desire for all of my students, per Pericles, to become lovers of beauty and wisdom. ("φιλοκαλοῦμέν τε γὰρ...καὶ φιλοσοφοῦμεν").

I count among my current research interests the post-classical preservation of Stoicism, from the late antique Latin of Boethius to the Neo-Latin of Spinoza, as well as recent research in cognitive linguistics studying the development of rhetorical devices in oral Greek poetics.
