Hi friends!
My name is Victoria Brashear, and I am from Lily, Kentucky where I graduated with honors with distinction from South Laurel High School and the Laurel County Center for Innovation. I am currently a junior pursuing a dual degree in Psychology and Neuroscience with a minor in Pharmacology on the Pre-Medicine track. I am also a member of the University of Kentucky’s Lewis Honors College. Following graduation, I hope to attend medical school to pursue my career aspiration of becoming a pediatric anesthesiologist!
In addition to being a College of Arts and Sciences Ambassador, I am also a member of the Wildcat Marching Band Color Guard and hold the secretary position for the Wildcat Indoor Color Guard. In the summer you can catch me leading cheerleading camps as a UCA Staff Instructor and in the fall, you can catch me cheering on the Wildcats on Kroger Field! I also regularly attend my church back home, which helps me maintain a healthy perspective on school and life. Furthermore, I am involved with organizations like NeuroCATS and Women in Neuroscience. In addition, I am a part of the Psychology Scholars here at UK! In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, volunteering with my Miss Kentucky and Miss Laurel County Homecoming titles, and being an advocate for Celiac's Disease.
I chose the University of Kentucky because it truly felt like home. Not only does the University of Kentucky have incredible opportunities regarding academics, but the community here in Lexington is like no other! The University of Kentucky has helped me flourish in my academic endeavors, as well as in my own personal growth. I will forever be thankful that God guided me on this journey to Lexington.
If you have any questions or want to know more about the great opportunities the University of Kentucky and the College of Arts and Sciences offers, please feel free to reach out to me!
As always, Go Cats!
