World Languages and Cultures Alumni Weekend

The Department of Modern and Classical Languages, Literatures, and Cultures (MCLLC), Department of Hispanic Studies, and the International Studies Program will host the World Languages and Cultures Alumni Weekend. The event will benefit students in the following programs: Arabic and Islamic Studies; Chinese Studies; Classics; Foreign Language and International Economics, Folklore and Mythology, French and Francophone Studies, German Studies, Hebrew, International Studies, Italian, Japan Studies, Spanish,and Russian Studies (undergraduate and graduate).

The event will kickoff with a virtual keynote address by Ashley Donahey (French and Franophone Studies '07) at 7pm on Thursday, September 30.

On Friday, October 1, alumni will speak with current students about professional pathways. MCLLC, Hispanic Studies, and International Studies students are invited to drop by the Gatton Student Center between 3-5pm to speak with alumni, informally or one-on-one, about various of career options (law, medicine, IT, translation, education, non-profit, government, business and more) and how to prepare for them. 

Alumni, you and your guests are invited to the meet-and-greet in downtown Lexington with current and former language faculty on Saturday as well. RSVP to all three events by September 20th here.
