Career Day

Language and culture, FLIE, and International Studies majors will connect one-on-one with alumni in all these areas to learn about professional pathways and potential careers. Breakout sessions with alumni and students will be grouped by field – business, government, non-profits, and law/medicine/education.

Alumni Keynote

Amir-Ali Bahrami (Foreign Languages and International Economics-Japanese, BS '21 and Biology, BS '11) is the Customer Success Manager at Xometry. He formerly held a position at Okaya, a historic Japanese trading house and major Toyota supplier, a position which relied on his knowledge of Japanese. He is an active member of the Japan America Society of Kentucky.

Mr. Bahrami taught English in the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program in Fukushima, Japan from 2013 to 2016. During that time, he served as a volunteer to groups working for Fukushima's recovery in the wake of the 2011 Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami disaster.
