Minor in Russian Studies

In the current climate of international cooperation in governmental agencies, business and research, the Russian Studies Minor pairs nicely with a variety of majors including Business & Econmics, Communication, Linguistics, the Social Sciences, and the Physical Sciences.

MCL/Russian Studies – Minor Requirements (18 hours minimum)

  1.  Russian Language Courses (6 Hours):  Complete 6 hours of Russian Language coursework at or above the 300-level selected from the following:            

RUS 301 Conversation and Composition I ........  3

RUS 401 Advanced Russian I.......  3

RUS 402 Advanced Russian II.......  3

RUS 410G Language for Special Purposes (repeatable up to 9 total hours with different subtitles) .......  3

RUS 502 Advanced Russian through Geography (under development).......  3

MCL 375-376 or other Study Abroad Courses approved by the DUS

 

  1.  Elective Requirements (12 hours):  Complete 12 hours of Russian Elective Coursework distributed as follows:

--Out of the 12 hours required, 9 hours MUST be in RUS or Study Abroad courses selected from the following:
